Eligibility to Sell
You must be at least 18 years old, maintain an approved creator account, accept the Creator Submission Agreement, and provide accurate identity, contact, payment, and tax information when requested.
Comics Authority may require additional verification before activating paid sales or releasing earnings.
Creator Pricing
Creators may request a selling price for eligible digital and print editions. Comics Authority may establish minimum or maximum prices, require price changes, reject a proposed price, or correct obvious pricing errors before or after publication.
All customer-facing prices are displayed in United States dollars unless the platform states otherwise.
Paid Digital Downloads
For each completed paid digital sale, Comics Authority retains a simple $1.00 platform fee.
Stripe or another payment provider will deduct its applicable payment-processing fees from the transaction. Comics Authority does not add a percentage-based commission.
The creator's eligible digital earnings are the amount remaining after the $1.00 Comics Authority platform fee, payment-processing fees, and any applicable refunds, chargebacks, payment disputes, taxes, or other transaction-specific adjustments.
Print Sales
For each completed print sale, Comics Authority retains a $1.00 platform fee per printed copy sold.
The creator is responsible for printing, packaging, shipping, delivery confirmation when required, and resolving fulfillment issues attributable to the creator. Customer-paid shipping amounts must be used for fulfillment and are not creator profit unless the actual shipping cost is lower and applicable law and platform policy permit the difference to be retained.
Payment-processing fees, refunds, chargebacks, replacement costs, taxes, and other transaction-specific adjustments may be deducted before eligible print earnings are calculated.
Payment Processing
Customer payments may be processed through Stripe or another payment provider selected by Comics Authority. Payment-provider availability, verification requirements, processing times, fees, reserves, and restrictions may affect when funds become eligible for payout.
Comics Authority does not guarantee that every payment method, country, bank, debit card, or payout destination will be supported.
Quarterly Payouts
Creators are paid quarterly for all cleared and eligible earnings, regardless of the amount earned. There is no minimum payout threshold.
Each payout covers cleared eligible earnings from the preceding calendar quarter. A payment is considered cleared only after the customer payment has been successfully processed and any applicable hold, refund period, dispute review, fraud review, or fulfillment review has been completed.
Comics Authority will make commercially reasonable efforts to issue payouts during the stated window, but processing time may vary because of banking delays, payment-provider requirements, weekends, holidays, account verification, or events beyond Comics Authority's reasonable control.
No Minimum Payout
Comics Authority does not require creators to reach a minimum balance before receiving a regularly scheduled quarterly payout. Small cleared balances will be included in the applicable payout cycle, subject to valid payment information and any lawful or permitted withholding described in this agreement.
Creator Payment Information
Creators are responsible for keeping payment, tax, identity, mailing, and contact information accurate and current. Comics Authority is not responsible for delays, failed transfers, returned payments, or fees caused by incorrect or outdated information supplied by the creator.
If a payout fails, the amount may remain on the creator's account until valid payment information is supplied and the next payout can be processed.
Refunds and Cancellations
Comics Authority may approve refunds, cancellations, credits, or replacement orders when reasonably necessary to address duplicate payments, technical failures, unauthorized transactions, damaged or missing print orders, misleading listings, policy violations, or other customer-service concerns.
Amounts associated with a refund, cancellation, credit, or replacement may be deducted from the creator's current balance or future earnings. If a creator has already been paid for the affected transaction, the adjustment may create a negative balance that is recovered from later earnings.
Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Chargebacks, card disputes, payment reversals, dispute fees, and related losses may be deducted from creator earnings when connected to the creator's sale, content, conduct, fulfillment, or account activity.
Repeated disputes, unusually high refund rates, suspected misuse, or failure to cooperate with an investigation may result in delayed payouts, removal of products, suspension of selling privileges, or account termination.
Fraud, Holds, and Reserves
Comics Authority may delay, withhold, offset, or place a reasonable reserve on earnings while investigating suspected fraud, unauthorized transactions, artificial sales, self-purchases intended to manipulate reporting, stolen payment methods, ownership disputes, infringement claims, fulfillment failures, legal demands, or violations of platform policies.
When an investigation is resolved, eligible funds will be released in the next applicable payout cycle, less any lawful or permitted deductions. Funds may remain withheld when required by law, court order, payment-provider rules, or an unresolved legal claim.
Taxes
Creators are responsible for reporting and paying taxes arising from their creator earnings, except for taxes that Comics Authority is legally required to collect, withhold, report, or remit.
Comics Authority or its payment provider may request a Form W-9, Form W-8BEN, taxpayer identification number, identity documents, or other tax information before activating sales or releasing payouts. Required tax forms may be issued when applicable.
Sales Records and Dashboard Information
Comics Authority may provide sales, download, earnings, refund, and payout information through a creator dashboard or other reports. Dashboard figures may be preliminary and may change because of processing delays, refunds, disputes, taxes, adjustments, or corrections.
Comics Authority's transaction records control in the event of a discrepancy, except where the creator provides clear evidence of an error.
Account Suspension or Termination
Comics Authority may suspend paid sales, remove listings, restrict account access, or terminate participation for violations of platform policies, suspected fraud, non-fulfillment, legal risk, abusive conduct, payment-provider restrictions, or repeated customer complaints.
Termination does not eliminate valid obligations arising before termination. Cleared eligible earnings will ordinarily be paid during the next applicable payout cycle, subject to refunds, disputes, offsets, reserves, legal requirements, and valid payment information.
Changes to Fees or Financial Terms
Comics Authority may change platform fees, payout procedures, supported payment methods, or other financial terms prospectively. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date and may require renewed electronic acceptance before continued paid sales.
No Guarantee of Revenue
Comics Authority does not guarantee any number of sales, downloads, customers, promotion opportunities, earnings, or payout amount. Creator results depend on customer demand, pricing, promotion, product quality, platform availability, and other factors.
Relationship of the Parties
Creators participate as independent rights holders and sellers. Nothing in this agreement creates an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, franchise, agency relationship, or fiduciary relationship between the creator and Comics Authority.
Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and applicable United States law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Electronic Acceptance
Checking the agreement box, clicking an acceptance button, submitting a paid product, or otherwise electronically accepting these terms constitutes your signature and agreement to be bound by them.
